Kohler Golf opens for 2018 season – All four courses at Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run to open on April 25

KOHLER, Wis. – April 24, 2018 – The 2018 Destination Kohler golf season at Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run begins April 25 with the opening of all four golf courses: Straits and Irish at Whistling Straits and River and Meadow Valleys at Blackwolf Run. With the opening of the courses, the restaurants and golf pro shops at both Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits will be open seven days a week. 2018 marks the 30thanniversary for Blackwolf Run and the 20thanniversary for Whistling Straits.

 

“The start of the 2018 golf season will be marked with a non-typical opening of all four courses on the same date,” said Mike O’Reilly, Manager Golf Operations – Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run. “Mother Nature threw us some challenges this year but our diligent team has gotten the courses ready and we are thrilled to open tomorrow.”

 

The popular “Dye-Abolical” and “Golf Kohler” stay-and-play packages with lodging at The American Club and recently expanded Inn on Woodlake are available for the 2018 golf season. Favorites include Ryder Cup-inspired tournaments and pairing parties, special happy hours, 19th hole celebrations, team shirts, locker room name plates, and logoed tee gifts.

 

Destination Kohler hosts two annual events to kick-off the golf season: Spring Golf Sale at Blackwolf Run on April 27-28 and the Kohler Golf Expo on May 5.

    Admission: Complimentary, Open to the Public
    Information: Attendees receive a 20-80 percent savings on Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run logo’d merchandise located in the Wolf Pack Bear Clan Room. Shoppers receive a $5 voucher for every $50 spent that can be used on a future purchase at the following locations: Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits Golf Shops and Restaurants and Kohler Swing Studio & Golf Shop: Apparel.

    Admission: Complimentary, Open to the Public
    Information: Representatives from Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping and Tour Edge will be on hand demonstrating their latest products. Attendees can register for a chance to win golf rounds, 60-minute golf lessons, merchandise and other prizes. Purchase $500 or more and receive one round for two on The Irish at Whistling Straits® or Meadow Valleys at Blackwolf Run.
