Do you know how to interpret a sparkling wine label when it indicates brut, extra-dry ,or demi-sec? Dosage is the last step in the traditional (champagne) method of sparkling wine making and determines the sweetness level of the wine. Winemaker Zak Miller will get a bit geeky as he explains wine-making techniques, developed for champagne and employed by Domaine Carneros. He will include a particular focus on the dosage process and the impact on the finished wine while tasting through wines at different dosage levels.
