Blackwolf Run
Named for Chief Black Wolf who, with his Winnebago tribe, once thrived in the Sheboygan River Valley, Blackwolf Run is a glacier-forged landscape of valleys and bluffs, rolling prairie, and oak savannah. A course carved by nature, it was perfected by Pete Dye and Herb Kohler into two championship courses and The Baths, a family-friendly short course.
A legacy of champions
Two U.S. Women’s Opens, a U.S. Senior Open, three PGA Championships, and the distinction of being the first public course to host the Ryder Cup in over a quarter century.
1998 U.S. WOMEN'S OPEN
Se Ri Pak begins her domination of women’s golf and inspires generations of Korean golfers with her dramatic, sudden-death victory at Blackwolf Run.
2004 PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
Vijay Singh secured his third career Major at Whistling Straits in a thrilling, three-hole playoff over the 10th, 17th and 18th holes.
2007 U.S. SENIOR OPEN
With the second biggest comeback by a winner in U.S. Senior Open history, Brad Bryant made up five strokes in the final round to claim victory at Whistling Straits.
2010 PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
Martin Kaymer earned his first Major championship in a dramatic three-hole playoff over Bubba Watson at the Straits course of Whistling Straits.
2012 U.S. WOMEN'S OPEN
Na Yeon Choi came out victorious at the 67th U.S. Women’s Open at Blackwolf Run, winning her first Major championship by finishing four strokes ahead of runner-up Amy Yang.
