KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates Puts a Twist on a Contemporary Fall Favorite with its New Pumpkin Spice

The latest variety pays homage to the popular, seasonal flavor and marks the first of its kind for the renowned chocolate brand

KOHLER, Wis. – October 8, 2018 – KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates is thrilled to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Pumpkin Spice chocolate, just in time for the fall season. Available now, this delectable delight is comprised of a smooth, milk chocolate shell with a pumpkin spice ganache that has a slew of autumnal notes, including: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and allspice.

“We’re always looking for new varieties that spotlight the unparalleled quality our brand is revered for and that resonate with our beloved chocolate fans’ preferences,” said Gerald Allison, business manager of KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates. “Pumpkin spice -products are currently a sensation with consumers, and we wanted to create a version that would be a nod to this trend but would also be identifiable with Kohler.”

With the changing seasons serving as inspiration, the goal was to really capture essence of autumn upon the first bite of Pumpkin Spice. Like all other KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates, the delicious confection’s exterior was carefully airbrushed, this one specifically in two colorways with radiant shades of orange hues and another accented with striking, green embellishments to emulate the appearance of a pumpkin.

Each chocolate variety in the KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates collection fuse together classic culinary techniques, art and design, and are fastidiously created – from concept to execution – in the quaint Village of Kohler at Destination Kohler, the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond resort-hotel, owned and operated by Kohler Co. Pumpkin Spice  is available in four-piece ($12.99) and nine-piece ($24.99) boxes, online at KohlerChocolates.com, in addition to at the Craverie Chocolatier Café at The Shops at Woodlake in Kohler.

History of KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates
The KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates story begins with turtles, and not just an ordinary turtle – a complex blend of chocolate; smoky, burnt caramel and finished with salted pecans hand-picked for their size and perfection. The turtle that went through rigorous testing, many recipe tweaks and extensive sampling was perfected by the renowned chefs at Destination Kohler and blessed by Kohler Co. Executive Chairman, Herbert V. Kohler, Jr., to launch KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates in 2007.

Today, the original Terrapins have become the foundation for a thriving chocolates business that refuses to clutter the marketplace, and seeks to explore limitless opportunity in taste with natural raw ingredients. The Terrapins have since been expanded into four delicious varieties and the company has continued to diversify its line of chocolates.

In 2016, Kohler Co. entered a new market with the launch of the KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates Brandy; the spirit is naturally infused with Kohler’s dark chocolate, providing an unmatched spirits taste and experience.
